A Three Month Update

Sunday, June 19th, 2011

It’s hard to believe Ian is already three months old… Or that Sweet Baby Gray turned 2 yesterday! OR that Nate is celebrating his 9th Father’s Day today. Wow.
Much has been happening with our very busy family. Here’s a photo update for you:
You may remember that we bought a used shuttle bus in January… [...]

Fish Out of Water

Tuesday, January 25th, 2011

Things have been crazy chaotic here, as usual. We’re having the bus painted, “spring” cleaning our basement and garage, dealing with medical issues… the list goes on and on.
Just so you all know I still love you, here’s a bit of humor to, well, humor you!
Remember this? Back when Evan was “tiny bitty” [...]

Orange

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

It’s not only Connor’s favorite color, but it’s the only word to describe Grayson after he eats spaghetti. Though, he doesn’t just eat spaghetti… He devours it and enjoys every morsel.
I’m kicking myself because I didn’t take a picture of him this afternoon, before Nate hosed him down cleaned him up.
Imagine, if you will, a [...]

Translating

Sunday, November 14th, 2010

Grayson is almost 17 months old now. He says quite a few words, but one word is far and away his favorite word.
“MOM.”
Now, I’m not complaining that his name for me is the word I hear the most from him… But he may need to expand his vocabulary a bit as he matures. Allow [...]

Advancing

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

Grayson has been reaching new milestones lately.
He just got his 7th tooth.
He says Mom, Dad, Da (dog) and Kkk (Drink.) He’s said Bo (Connor’s nickname) once or twice, but we don’t know if that’s intentional or not! He also says HOT in reference to the oven.
He doesn’t really crawl at all anymore — [...]

T-T-T… What begins with T?

Friday, August 27th, 2010

Yesterday, as I mentioned, we took the kids on a field trip. The night before, they didn’t know where we were going. I finally hinted, “It begins with T.”
Connor immediately flew into phonics mode: “T…T… Texas?”
“No,” I chuckled.
“Town Hall?” he asked.
You can’t blame him for trying.
We actually went to a nearby tomato farm! It was [...]

A Random List of Randomness

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

Don’t try to follow my train of thought. It derailed awhile back.
1) Speaking of trains, Ferris “rode her potty train to the end” this week. We started with her Special Potty Day last Monday. Yesterday (Monday again) she finished it off by getting 26 stickers (successes) in a row on her chart!! Woo-Hoo.

Her reward was [...]

Still more Opening Day

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

I can’t help myself. I love my kids… I love baseball… I love brightly colored summer photos… So, I just can’t stop. My sister-in-law Heather took these photos Saturday at Opening Day. I’m posting them here for all eternity!
She got many more of Andy and Brady…

Brady played first base for the first inning. Doesn’t he [...]

The Friendly Confines

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

I have to head off to a baseball board meeting soon, so I don’t have time to give you the full recap, but I will say this:
We had a GREAT, AMAZING, WONDERFUL time at Wrigley Field on Sunday.
We ended up riding the South Shore train into the city, then catching the Red Line portion of [...]

Deep in Conversation

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Grayson has been waking up before all my other kiddos. He seems to enjoy the extra time to snuggle, nurse and just have Mommy all to himself.
So, I wasn’t surprised when Nate brought him into our room at 6:30 this morning when Nate was getting ready to head off to the airport. Grayson and I [...]
