Pie Swiper
Tonight is our annual “Praise & Pie” service at church.
It’s one of my favorite services of the whole year… And it’s NOT about the pie. To be honest, I’m not really a huge pie fan at all. I just enjoy hearing the ways God has truly blessed those around me!
So, yesterday I made two pies. One is peanut butter and chocolate (with a store-bought Oreo crust.) The other was made entirely from scratch. It was a cherry pineapple pie. It was pretty.
That’s right. I said “was.”
Until this:
Evan sweetly explained, “I just wanted to taste it, Mommy. It is beautiful!”
Not anymore! So, we had pie for dessert last night and I’m about to make a second one. Guess I’ll praise God I had the time to make that first, “practice” pie. ![]()

I like pies~ My family likes pies~~ Our biggest thing is CORNBREAD~~ I make cornbread~ turn around to get the knife to cut it and when I turn back around I have 6 hands going at the crust~ and I only have 3 boys~~ I understand~ it’s just sad I can’t figure out how to make crust less cornbread~~

Tamela, my husband insists on eating cornbread by crumbling it up in a bowl, drizzling syrup all over it, then pouring milk on it and eating it like it’s cereal. Isn’t that odd?! Or is that how you do it, too?
