I’ve explained before that we’re Food Network nerds. We love watching culinary battles and cuisine creations. Sometimes, I even attempt the recipes. Sometimes they work. I digress.

We’re big fans of Alton Brown’s, too. If you don’t know who he is, I can best describe him as a walking food encyclopedia. The man oozes information with multi-syllabic preciseness. AND he makes it all sound so delicious and so fun! He’s so stinkin’ didactic that he’s a homeschool mama’s dream.

You may also know him from the new Welch’s Grape Juice commercials. In those, he describes the benefits of the juice because of their antioxidents and polyphenols. We’ve seen the commercial a few times and the boys always recognize Alton Brown.

A few nights ago, the kids were all in especially goofy moods. The were giggling and just plain goofing off.

I knew we’d reached new heights of craziness when I heard Brady tell Andy, “You’re such a polyphenol!”

I’m still not sure if that was supposed to be an insult or a compliment!
