All Boy

My son Andy is all boy.

Even at birth, he never got mixed up as being a baby girl. He’s always looked like a boy, and acted like a boy. We like it that way.

Today, he went to a new dentist with Nate. Until now, we’d been driving two hours to my hometown to see my childhood dentist. It wasn’t very practical, so it was time to find someone local… plus Andy needed to have a front tooth pulled since his new one was growing in in front of the old one.

I was a bit nervous about him going to the new doctor since we’re all very fond of our old dentist. Nate said he did great though. He’s much braver when he’s with Daddy.

When they got home, I asked him how he liked the new guy. I expected he’d mention something about the pain possibly, or about how Dr. Mark was different from Dr. Chip.

But no.

“It was cool. They had a TV above the chair, Mom, and I got to hold the remote!”

Typical male, huh?
