The only thing cooler than having your Dad show up at the playground to play with you in his squad car is when he pushes you, your brothers and sisters, and half the neighborhood of kids really, really fast on the merry-go-round.

So fast that your brother flies off.

He’s that cool.

Yesterday, we visited a “new” playground. We’re blessed to live in an area that has many, many small neighborhood parks. We took a picnic and went to one near our house that we’d never been to. It was old school… had all the same equipment that was around when I was a kid. Including the type of merry-go-round that has been responsible for many injuries.

The kids really enjoyed themselves. The girls love the swings. They also love those extremely hot metal animals on coil springs that you “rock” back and forth. The big boys loved climbing on the spider-web domey thing. Grayson liked this:

Yeah… he slept the whole time. It’s always a nice time for a nap.

Just before we left, Andy and Brady decided that their little sisters needed to have a turn on the merry-g-round, too. Nate obliged and pushed again — this time much slower.

Such good big brothers!
