A Song in Her Heart

My girl Evan loves music. She’s constantly carrying around books, thumbing through the pages, then holding them up and singing from them as if they’re hymnals. Of course, she makes up her own words.

Earlier this week, she was belting out a unique tune about a suitcase. Not sure what that was about.

My favorite, however, is recurring. The first time, I couldn’t quite make out what she was saying and thought it was also made up — until Nate informed me.

“Eee table, eee table… I know eee table.”

HUH?

Go way back to your Sunday school days as a kid and you’ll remember this song that we sing a lot around our house… “He’s able, He’s able, I know He’s able… I know my Lord is able to carry me through!”

Even if she can’t always pronounce the words, I’m glad Evan knows her Lord is table able to carry her through. :)

Oh, that is so fabulous. I’m proud of myself…I actually guessed the song before the big reveal! I love that song, too, Little Miss! :)

At first I thought it might have been a song Poppy would have taught her, “Eat Table” but then I realized the only time we eat at a table is when we eat out.

No really I guessed the song pretty quickly.
