Last week was a bit long. The hotel pool was closed for renovation, so the kids seemed long on energy and short on creativity.

I was doing school with Andy and Brady one morning, and Evan and Connor kept wandering in from the kids’ room (two adjoining rooms…  Seems our family is so large we’re a fire hazard in one room!) Andy and Brady were having a hard time concentrating, so I kept trying to shoo Evan and Connor back to the other side. I even turned on some cartoons.

“Evan, I turned on cartoons in your room,” I coaxed. “Go watch ‘The Wonder Pets.’”

She looked at me and whined, “I don’t want to watch Underpants!”

Needless to say, we all cracked up. That’s just a slight misunderstanding.
