I’ve written before about how I allow my children to choose a box of “fun bandages”at the store as a reward for especially good behavior. We use the bandages anyway, and they think it’s fun to get to pick out some colorful cartoon character. Win-win situation, right?

Last night, I was working on some design projects when Andy and Brady came bounding down the stairs. Andy said, “Hey Mom, Brady got hurt and he had some blood on his hand, so look at the bandage he picked out!”

Brady held up his hand, proudly showing a character from one of their favorite shows. I asked what happened, and if he was OK. He assured me he was.

As they turned to leave, Andy said to Brady, “I hope I get blood soon, so I can get one like that!”

Oh, brother!
