Better Late than Never
I know I promised photos of Ferris’ big family birthday shin-dig, but I’ll have to wait and post those when my camera and I are in the same place… until then, here’s something to get you through.
I know I’ve said over and over again that baseball is a way of life around our house. I grew up at the baseball fields in my hometown and my kids have grown into little die-hard Cubs’ fans. (I’d have it no other way!) My husband has even been known the play baseball outside with the kids in December.
My talented-photographer-of-a-sister-in-law just uploaded some photos taken at her house just a few days after Christmas. Seriously… If memory serves me correctly, it was in the mid-forties back then (it’s colder here today) and we sent the kids to their backyard to wiggle! We had been to my parents’ house already for Christmas and my boys received catchers’ gear, something they’d long been wanting.
That’s Andy behind that mask. This was right around the very minute he lost his first tooth, and in a very manly gesture, spit it out onto the ground.
Brady was elated to be playing ball outside with a “real ball.” It was even more fun because cousin Joshua received a baseball glove for Christmas, so he was breaking it in right along with them… and Nate and two of his brothers!
I know she’s not playing baseball in this photo, but I needed to include Evan’s adorable Christmas outfit somewhere… and since it’s March, I thought I should do it here. She looked cute, especially alongside Ferris, who had a coordinating outfit in opposite colors.
We’re definitely gearing up for T-ball season around here… we have been since it ended last July. Can you feel it?

Thanks for the photos. I’ve been meaning to tell you that Brannon was allergic to cats and dogs but by age 9 he was okay and they have had their dog Bridget for about 5-6 years. So, maybe there is still hope?
