Things Are Getting Fishy
Upon the recent discovery of Brady’s allergies to dogs, Nathan and I have made the difficult decision to find new homes for Sirus and Dusty. It was a tough choice — being a canine officer has been a dream of Nate’s for a long time. He is, however, thankful that he got to use Sirus as a partner for a few years and we both know it’s what’s best for Brady.
That being said, we’re embarking on new ground… or new sea. Tonight, we’re picking out fish.
We knew the boys would take it hard when the discovered that the dogs had to go… but Andy immediately teared up and hid in his bed for quite awhile. We had already thought about the fish possibility, but Andy thought of it, too. He even wrote Nate a note and started thinking of potential names, just in case Daddy said yes.
We’re blessed enough that some friends gave us their old 10-gallon tank. It’s all assembled and awaiting its inhabitants. The boys have honestly been staring at an empty tank for two days. The anticipation is killing them!
I’ll be sure to post photos of the children with their choices and announce the names they selected soon. I know you’re all dying to know, huh?

PS-Yesterday was my Ferris Hope’s first birthday! We did not forget (in fact, we “celebrated” with Chinese food and cookies,) but her family birthday party is taking place on Sunday afternoon… So, official photos and more will follow!

Who do you think will use the name Nemo?

So far, I’ve heard the names Spot, Jacky-Boy, Spy Lazer, and Baby… We’ll see once we actually purchase the fish though.

Fish are fun, especially when and if the babies come. However, I feel bad for the reason for them.
