My kids love it when I record movies for them. I record them to our DVR… they watch them over and over again for about a week or so… then I delete them. Works well for us.
The other day, I recorded “Beethoven’s 5th.”It’s one in a series of movies about a giant St. Bernard and [...]

Few things in life give me greater pleasure than clean sheets. I just love the crisp feeling of sliding into them when they still smell very faintly of fabric softener and the kids haven’t had a chance to smash Pop-Tarts onto them. My handsome Nate finds it slightly amusing that I get giddy about [...]

I must be doing something right.
Last night, I was working on some design projects (in the basement where my computer is) and Brady yelled down the stairs. ”Hey Mom, can me and Andy vacuum?”
Be still my beating heart!
Granted, they wanted to clean up the pretzels they had spilled on the carpet and then smashed, but still… it’s a [...]

So, I’m about 16 weeks along with Baby G. It’s hard to believe I’m almost half-way! It goes way too fast!
Anyway, for most people, they’d probably be over their morning sickness by now. But, I’m special.

Just curious.

(As a side note, I grew up thinking anything besides beef, chicken and turkey was gross!! Not so… Venison has a great flavor when prepared [...]

Isn’t everyone sort of in recovery mode? We sure are.
I desperately want to remove the enormous tree from our living room, but the box we store it in is too large for me to lug up from the basement alone and Nate’s flying again today. I’m trying to find homes for all the kids’ new [...]

Evan just can’t get enough of her “dista” Ferris. Really. She loves her immensely. She’s constantly setting aside food and toys for Ferris, though much of it is too much for Ferris to handle.
I recently went to check on the kids during nap time and this is what I found:
Apparently Evan couldn’t stand the thought [...]

The last month around here has been insane, but I’m sure that’s true for many of you. We’ve been finishing up school for the first semester (ever!), Christmas shopping, decorating, making lots of food, and getting sick. Good times!
In the midst of all that, Andy turned six. His one birthday request was to go bowling. [...]
