Thankful
Nate had to work on Thanksgiving (we just can’t get the “bad guys” to take a holiday,) so we had a more traditional Thanksgiving meal on Friday. Thursday, we had just a nice lunch.
During that meal, I asked each of the kids to tell us something for which they’re thankful. Andy started and said, “Um, school and playing and stuff.” Brady said something about being thankful for baseball. Evan said something about her sister. We couldn’t understand all of it, but she was emphatic, so we’re sure she’s appreciative that God blessed the house with another female.
Nate and I had a turn, too… we were working our way around the table. Because of the way we sit, Connor was last. I was unwrapping his baked potato while Nate and I were rambling on about things like health, children, marriage, God’s provision, etc. Finally, Nate said, “And Connor? What are you thankful for?”
“Um,” he said, “That Mommy helped me with my ‘tato!” Sweet and simple. ![]()

That Conner is such a sweetie. As I see it he tells the truth. Glad to read something new here. Was getting a little tired of reading the last post. LOL. We had our Thanksgiving on Friday also.
