I know how to get crayon off of walls and out of clothing… Anyone out there know how to prevent a toddler from eating them??
Sadly, I’m serious.
Seems our oldest daughter has acquired a taste for their waxy flavor. Ugh.
Please leave helpful advice.

My husband is a police officer. He has a drug sniffing dog. We teach the kids to say no. Remember all that.
A couple of weeks ago, our Connor turned three. The boy is pretty easy to please. He just wanted a number three candle for his cake, but we got him a bit more.
He loves [...]

We jokingly call Connor, who’s now three, Mr. Romance. He’s a bundle of sweetness, dispensing hugs and kisses and “I wuv you soooooooo much, Mommy” comments several times a day. He’s just plain irresistible.
We driving home from a friend’s today and I pointed out the colorful leaves to the boys. (Evan was asleep and Ferris [...]

My husband’s “partner” is a police canine. He lives with us. He’s a terrific dog with great discipline and we feel blessed to have him around.
I only wish he didn’t shed.
Anyway, yesterday, Sirus was laying down, frozen by obedience, while my husband got ready for work. Because the dog is at work much of the time, [...]

Awhile back, I wrote about my endless quest to name our newly established homeschool. It’s not required in our state to name our school, but I’m just strange like that.
The graphic artist in me wants a logo for everything… and what’s a school logo without a mascot? Had to have both!
I really longed for the [...]

My two oldest sons are 13 months apart. That is, Andy does not remember life without Brady. They’re closer than any other brothers I’ve ever seen. The do not enjoy time away from each other.
Yet, in so many ways, they are complete opposites!
Andy is cautious and careful about everything. He’s a perfectionist (much like his [...]

The business trip / vacation we took last week was the same one we do every six months. It’s an event we started when Andy was about four or five months old and now he’s almost six!
Remember this from six months ago:
Well, here’s one I took last week:
We’re often asked if our two youngest cuties [...]

Remember last week when I said we’d stuffed the back of our 12-passenger van for our trip?
Keep in mind that we actually removed the last bench seat to do this. It’s almost comical, huh?
Sadly, all of that has exploded in my living room and I must attempt to tackle it now. Ugh.

We had a busy weekend! Most of the time we’re busy, but this was a bit different.
Saturday, we traveled home from our trip away. Nate had to take his police squad car, so I was driving the two hour trip in our giant van with five kids. I should explain now that Brady sits two [...]
