“Whatever, Martha!”

I’ve never been a big fan of being disrespectful or irreverent to parents. Especially now that I have kids.

BUT, if your mom is Martha Stewart and practically has you make a Thanksgiving meal from a turkey who may have lived in your own backyard first and then spray paint its carcas gold, adorn it with dried leaves from maples, then place it on the table as your holiday centerpiece, can you blame her?

Fine Living network now has a new show called, “Whatever, Martha!

It’s hosted by Martha’s daughter Alexis and her friend, Jennifer. It’s basically them sitting on couches, doing what we all do when we see Martha on TV — making incredulous remarks and absurd comments. They ask questions like, “Who does that?!” The make comments like, “Nothing could be easier?! I can think of 10 things that would be easier than that!”

Don’t get me wrong. I think Martha Stewart is talented and she has some very creative ideas. They just are not practical for most people who do not have millions of dollars and who do not have the time to sit around and craft. Like me.

So, maybe the show’s a bit irreverent, yes. But oh-so-funny.

The most amusing part? The show’s intro explains that it was likely Martha’s idea for the show! Check out the promo and then let me know if you watch the show. I’d love to know what you all think.

I watched the promos for this show online and was so disappointed that I don’t have that channel. I was cracking up just at the clips I was watching, I can’t imagine how funny the actual show is. I happen to enjoy Martha Stewart, but I’m like you…her stuff is kinda cool to look at, but I have no idea how in the world everything she touches stays so very, very CLEAN. :) I haven’t been that clean since I was a freshly scrubbed baby. Goodness.
