I actually have a set of "whipping beaters" that I think might work. If the older ones are too smart to catch the difference, I think I'll be able to pass them off on the smaller ones. I tried giving Andy a spoon instead. He was not a happy camper. Somehow, they think there's something magical about the shape of the beaters. Why can't they make hand mixers with five beaters?! That means that the two beaters, plus the bowl, a couple of spoons and everyone has something to clean up. :) They especially enjoy it if I let them help with "their" spoon and then they get to lick it when they're done. Whatever spoon you start with, you end up with. Works like a charm. :) Speaking of beaters, I'm hankering for some chocolate chip cookies.
