We just got home from Andy’s first-ever baseball game. (So, it’s T-ball… whatever.)
The Mariners played great. They were clearly more prepared than the other team. We are really blessed with great coaches who not only are patient and practice a lot, but they also have a knack for explaining things in “little kid terms.” They’re [...]

Honestly, this time.
Tonight is really THE BIG NIGHT! Andy has his first T-ball game in about four hours.
It’s nap time here, but I’m not sure how much actual sleeping will get done since everyone’s too excited to sleep.
Just pray that the lemonade I have packed in my bag will give Connor and Brady enough of a [...]

Brady has recently started rolling his eyes when he doesn’t agree with me. This is a behavior we’re trying to quickly nip in the bud.
While Brady and I were recently shopping together, he shared this little gem with me out of the blue:
“Mommy, when I roll my eyes, that’s how I turn on my super [...]

I hate it when things aren’t clearly communicated.
And now that I have five kids, it’s even more frustrating.
In regards to my previous post, I was wrong.
Andy’s first game is not tomorrow. Even though that’s what his coaches told us Monday.
We finally got schedules. Though some teams in his league do play tomorrow, his team does [...]

Well, this is it! Tomorrow is the big day…
T-ball Opening Day! Wooo-Hoooo!!
We finally found out what team Brady is on, just the other day. He’s on a combined town team… They haven’t practiced yet, but the junior T-ballers don’t actually have a game tomorrow. Just “opening ceremonies.” They’ll have their first game a week from [...]

Last night, Brady and I went on a “date.” To the sporting goods store.
We finally found out what Junior T-ball team he’s on… I should say “team.” They decided to go with one large team named after our town and basically break-down into scrimmages for their “games.”
They’re four. I guess they don’t expect [...]

Monday night I left to do some grocery shopping at about 9:30 p.m. (My husband works long hours and it’s easier to go late than to take five little ones to the store, remember?)
When I got home, all five kids were sound asleep and Nate had apparently fallen asleep waiting for me. I quietly put [...]

DidiLyn over at Meyers on the Hood is hosting a truly unique Bloggy Carnival this week called “Tell Me Your Story.” You’re to share your testimony! What a terrific way to share the way you came to Christ and to share exactly who the Lord has been to you. I’m looking forward to the encouragement of reading them [...]

On our recent mini-vacation, we took the kids to a small park one evening. There were only four swings, so we had to take turns. Nate sat on one and he first held Evan while she enjoyed the swing…
Then Connor wanted a turn on Daddy’s lap…
Then Brady.
Then Andy, of course.
You should know that Brady [...]

According to a recent study, the stay-at-home Mom’s salary should be about $117,000 annually.
Well, now we know. I’m worth so much.
Think I should ask for a raise since I have twice as many children as the average American family?
