WFMW: Healthy Summer Snack

I’m not sure where I first saw this tip, but it’s a super yummy one.

For a healthy (and summery!) snack, put a bunch of seedless grapes in the freezer. Whether you eat one at a time or a whole handful, they’re delightfully sweet and fat free! My kids absolutely love them and sometimes even call them “little grape popsicles.”

(As always, remember to cut them into smaller pieces for your itty-bitty kids, since grapes can be a choking hazard.)

  1. My grandpa always did this when I would go stay with them in the summer for a week or two and to this day it is still my favorite summer snack! Blueberries work great too :).

  2. We do this too. My kids love them.

  3. Yummmmm!

  4. That sounds yummy. :) We eat frozen strawberries, but I haven’t tried frozen grapes. :) Thanks for the tip. Plus, they will last longer when I find a great sale. :)

  5. Sounds like a winner. Need to try this!

  6. I love this tip! My girls love frozen grapes, but I forget to do this. Problem is one loves green grapes and one loves purple. But, this summer, I’ll be pulling this one out again!

  7. oh wow, I haven’t thought of that for a long time…we used to eat those as kids all the time!

I’ll have to do that this summer for my son….

  8. This is a favorite snack of mine too. In fact, on hot days, I may be the guilty one when all the grapes are suddenly gone! lol! Great tip. =0)

  9. Great idea! I’ve heard of this but never done it. Do you cut the grapes before or after you freeze them?

  10. Oh yum! Sounds delicious.

  11. I I don’t have little kids anymore, but I know I can’t wait to try these this year.
You know, they could keep my ice tea cold, too!

  12. LOVE this idea

  13. I’ve done this right before the grapes start to go bad! Then they are still good just that much longer! But a great reminder for the summer!!
