One of our lower kitchen cabinets contains all the kids plastic dishes — their plates, bowls and cups. The younger toddlers know they’re allowed to play in there. Something about the bright colors and the grown-upness of the kitchen appeals to them. They like taking the items out, re-stacking and putting them back. (I know to do a quick rinse or wash before using these items!)
