WFMW: Cheap and easy festive table runner
We had Evan’s baby dedication and first birthday party this weekend (though she’s not officially a year old ’til Friday. I’ll post more photos of her then.) To make her party a bit more festive, I decorated my dining room table with this inexpensive and efficient table runner:
Yup, that’s just a huge piece of birthday wrapping paper on top of a solid-colored table cloth. I even lined my kitchen counter with the paper before loading it with all the buffet-style foods. The best part? You just wad it up and throw it away when your parties all done.
This works great for Christmas, baby showers, etc. Plus, I bought the paper at The Dollar Tree, so it was cheap. Works for me!

that’s genius. much cheaper and prettier than those stupid paper cloths for parties!!!! you could even put it over a real-cloth tablecloth to save on paper! awesome.

That really is genius. I just picked up a bunch of Christmas wrapping paper discounted. I’ll be sure to do this table runner for next Christmas’ parties. Thanks!

This is a great idea! Thanks for posting it. The fact that the wrapping paper was an economical Dollar Tree purchase makes it even better.

I’m so grateful!
We have 5 birthdays here in two weeks time, and I hate it.
One of the reasons is that I can hardly keep up with the normal things.
This idea will be a great help.
A nice table makes the whole room festive.
I’ll buy a couple of roles and also use it on the doors.
You’re an angel! Thanks!

I’m definitely going to use this idea especially because there are so many fantastic wrapping papers available now. Hobby Lobby’s are my favorite. Thanks!
