Hoping for prequels
My kids are completely in love with a documentary-style show called “Jon & Kate plus 8.”If you haven’t heard of it, the show follows the antics of the Gosselin family in Pennsylvania. They have eight children. Let me qualify that by saying that the eight children are seven and three. Yup, seven year-old twin girls and a set of sextuplets that are now three. Lots of fun, but like our house, lots of chaos.
Brady is so much in love with watching this show that he’ll watch the same episode repeatedly until Nate can’t stand it anymore. The other day, Brady sweetly snuggled up to my arm and said, “Mommy, Jon & Kate plus 8 is over. Can we watch Jon & Kate plus 1, or Jon & Kate plus 2? or 3?”
Sweet boy thinks the eight is the number of sequels to this “movie.”
And for the record, Connor calls the show “Jonny Cake.”

I can’t decide whether I’d want all my kids like that (you’d get them all done at once!) or spread out over time. choices, choices!
