A Short Night Flight
He’s at it again.
My husband is talking in his sleep again.
Last night, I read for about 10 minutes after he went to sleep. He was out immediately. When I shut off my light, he patted me on the shoulder, then hugged me tightly. I thought, “How sweet.”
Then he spoke. I knew he was dreaming!
Nate: “You need to switch your hands and feet.”
Me: Realizing he was deep into a dream and trying not to laugh, “Why?”
Nate: “That’s the best way to increase your altitude.”
Me: Now knowing the dream is about helicopter flight instruction, but trying not to shake while laughing… Can you imagine someone flying a helicopter with their body upside down in the seat?! So, I gingerly roll from my right side to my left.“Umm, how’s that?”
Nate: “MUCH better.” Zzzzz…
He’s a riot, isn’t he? I tried to remain still so I wouldn’t wake him, but I was giggling. He’s too funny.

Does he hug all of his students before telling them to switch their hands and feet?

That would be so handy. Or, rather, footy.
I’m not sure that would help me gain altitude. Mostly, it would put my feet up where there would be no way for me to get away from the smell. I’ll pass on that one, thanks.

Oh my goodness - I am dying from laughter here. My hubby talks in his sleep, too. We have had some major laughs over the years.
