Progress… or not

Friday, October 5th, 2007

I have a billion and one design projects going on right now, not to mention that my son is recovering from surgery and I’m sick, both with some sort of illness and with morning sickness. I also have three other children, all under three, each with their own needs. I’m not complaining, just letting you know that [...]

You can’t keep a good thing down

Thursday, October 4th, 2007

Today, Andy had his first post-op visit. He did extremely well holding still and being an all-round “big boy.” Because he’s feeling better, he really, really wants to be up and running around with Brady and Connor, and more than anything, playing baseball. It’s very hard for this four-year-old to just watch the play-off games.

Tribute to Summer

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

Andy is really into the changing of the seasons this year… but because our weather is still in the 80’s and the Cubs are still playing baseball, we’re convinced it’s still summer. So, continue to wear your sandals and enjoy these photos I took back in July (but never posted).

Big Day for the Little Girl

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

Back to Frivolous Blogging

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

I decided to take a break from the deep subjects of surgery and recovery to bring you a mindless blog post. Missed them, didn’t you?
We are absolutely thrilled about the Chicago Cubs clinching the National League Central Division! WOO-HOO! I know I was “away” when it happened, but I can assure you that [...]

We’re making it

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

Andy’s surgery was a success, but he is not enjoying all the the recovery process entails. I won’t be overly specific, but I will say that it involves stuff that most four-year-olds do not enjoy… and he does not enjoy bedrest. Plus, he’s always been our child with the lowest tolerance for pain, so he’s [...]
