Easy cookies

My kids have been on this baking kick lately – perhaps because we’ve been cooped up for a week and a half? Anyway, earlier today, I found an easy recipe that simply allowed us to add our own extras. Great, huh? Here’s the recipe for anyone interested:

COLONIAL EASY COOKIES

1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
2 c. oatmeal

Combine together. Mix all ingredients like pie crust until soft; flatten small balls of dough on ungreased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10-12 minutes.Makes 4 dozen.

I added chocolate chips and peanut butter chips to ours, but I’m sure raisins or walnuts or whatever would be good, too. :) Enjoy!

PS– All my diabetic friends out there (you know who you are, SG, JAE, etc…), make adjustments before making these. Got it?! :D

Thanks for the cookie dough recipe. Looks good and easy. I could ask the grands to help me make them. I supervised Bob and Brannon on Chocolate Chip pan dessert. Just a thought.
