Brotherly Love

Connor has been walking around the house most of the day in Andy’s tennis shoes. They are literally 5-and-a-half sizes too big for him, but he loves his big brother and does what he can to be like him. Andy noticed tonight and our conversation went like this:

Andy: (complaining) “Mom, Connor’s wearing my shoes. He can’t wear my shoes!”

Me: “He’s not hurting them, buddy. He’s just wearing them because he wants to be like you because he thinks you’re cool.”

Andy:(adamantly) “I am not cool.” (sighs) “I’m only cool when I’m playing baseball. And I’m not playing baseball right now.”

So, that’s it. Maybe I need to play more baseball.
