Tonight we’re hosting a slumber party for our three teenage neices. We try to have a slumber party with them once a year, but I think it’s been even longer this time. At any rate, tonight is the night!

The boys have been giddy with excitement all week. Somehow the idea of sleeping on the floor and having Leigha, Erica and Faith here thrills them beyond belief. They’ve even been helping me clean.

Two of the three girls are allergic to gluten, so I just told the boys I’d put on a big pot of ham and beans for tonight. Brady giggled and said, “Oh, goody… I love Hammer Beans!!”

So, we’ve got the food taken care of… I just hope I’m not the first one to fall asleep.
