WHEW!

We are done with our very busy week of Vacation Bible School. Our good friends, Evangelist Richard Boyle and his wife Rebecca, led the week and did a great job of presenting Christ through a construction theme. The boys loved every minute of it and are now asking why it has to be over. They surprised everyone by knowing their verses each night. Here are the three other ones they memorized:

“Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?” –Jeremiah 23:29

“Choose you this day whom ye will serve . . . but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” –Joshua 24:15

“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” –John 14:2

Here’s Connor celebrating a successful week by wearing Daddy’s shiny shoes (the fancy ones he has to wear with his Honor Guard uniform) for a stroll through the church while the adults cleaned up.

As a surprise reward, Andy and Brady received a full-size candy bar for their memory work! They were both elated because they usually have to share! :D

As a side note, I know the photos are a bit blurry. Someone accidentally changed the setting on my camera and I didn’t notice it right away. Sorry!

Now that I know my boys are decent at memory work, I think I’ll get them to memorize Colossians 3:20. ;)
