Baby talk
Remember how at around 7-9 months, babies can start to put syllables together? “Dada” or “Mama” never sounded so sweet! (Connor was the only one so far to say Mama first, by the way. And that was only after extensive training on my part.)
Now flash forward to present day. Connor is now 21 month old. Somehow it isn’t quite as endearing at 4 a.m. when he starts yelling, “Mommmmmmy, oh Mommmmy” as loud as he can from his crib… in the room he shares with his brothers. And there appears to be nothing wrong. Just wants to say hi, I guess. Last night’s visit scared me awake so quickly that it took me another hour and half before I could go back to sleep.
I don’t like the taste of coffee, but if I did, I’m sure this morning would call for multiple cups. Maybe a Dr. Pepper will do.
